Affordable prices

The primary advantage of shopping at Dollar Tree is the low prices. School supplies can quickly add up, especially if you have multiple children or need to purchase a large quantity of items.

Dollar Tree typically offers a wide range of school supplies at significantly lower prices compared to other retailers, making it an economical option for budget-conscious shoppers.

Variety of supplies

Dollar Tree often carries a variety of school supplies, ranging from notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, glue sticks, markers, and more. Check your local store to see if they carry supplies in school colors to show your school spirit. Additionally, the inventory at Dollar Tree may vary, so it’s worth checking regularly to see if they have new items in stock.

Shopping online at Dollar Tree offer bulk buying options, allowing you to purchase larger quantities of certain items at discounted prices. They also offer a large selection of products that can be purchased in smaller quantities and offer free shipping when you ship to the store. Supplies are getting a bit more serious. Time to put the crayons and construction paper away and stock up on ballpoint pens, and composition notebooks. The backpacks get heavier, too.

Seasonal discounts

Dollar Tree stores often have seasonal promotions and discounts, including back-to-school sales. These sales can provide additional savings on already affordable school supplies. By taking advantage of these promotions, you can stretch your budget further and get more value for your money.

Extra items

Apart from traditional school supplies, Dollar Tree offers other items that can be useful for students, such as storage containers, lunch boxes, water bottles, calculators, and more. Did I mention art supplies? These additional items can help you find everything you need in one place, saving you time and effort searching for them elsewhere.

Don’t forget the college-bound kids!

When it comes to college students, it’s helpful to check in with them and request a list of necessary tools for their school day. This could include desk caddies, pencil holders, USB flash drives, spiral notebooks, tech gadgets, and ballpoint pens, among other small items. Additionally, it’s important not to overlook essential items for their dorm room. By compiling a comprehensive list of necessary materials, the task of preparation becomes much less daunting.

Dorm Room Essentials

In addition to school supplies, your college-bound kid will need storage containers, and other supplies for their dorm room to keep their stuff organized.

Dollar Tree carries store-brand and national name-brand items. Compare the quality to get the best value.

The school essentials required vary by age and grade. School districts have varied requirements for learning essentials, as well.  Scissors get sharper, glue sticks and construction paper are replaced by gel pens and USB flash drives, but the need remains and it’s time to shop for school supplies that satisfy your child’s needs.

In-store or online

You can take the time and energy to shop in-store if you want. Or you can easily purchase all your necessary school supplies without leaving the safety and comfort of your home. Dollar Tree offers a wide variety of options to ensure everything on your list is taken care of quickly and hassle-free. In-store stock will contain items in school colors for their area. The variety of colors each store will have is delightful. Getting a water bottle or tab dividers in school colors is so cool. I mean if you’re a kid.

Don’t forget free ship-to-store. Mid-summer sales are going on now so you will be able to take advantage of the best school sales and cross everything off of your school supplies list.

Back-to-School Brigade

Join Dollar Tree in supporting military families through the Back-to-School Brigade! If you can find room for it in your budget, extra school supplies will be donated to the children of military families who may be struggling to provide the necessary supplies this year.

Our country is defended by brave men and women in the armed forces who put their lives on the line every day.

When they are deployed, their families often face difficulties in managing day-to-day expenses and unforeseen emergencies. To support these families, Operation Homefront is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial assistance and other resources.

As part of their efforts to support service members and their families, Dollar Tree has partnered with Operation Homefront for the 2023 Back-to-School Brigade® School Supply Drive, which will run from July 5 to August 3.

You can easily contribute by purchasing school supplies and dropping them off in any of the 8,000 Dollar Tree stores nationwide. Operation Homefront will collect and distribute free school supplies to military families in your area.

Your help will be greatly appreciated. As a military brat myself, I know firsthand the difficulties military families face. Operation Homefront distributes thousands of free backpacks filled with school supplies to meet the needs of kids for the new school year.

The specific school supply lists you need for your school-age kids can be obtained from a school administrator, the school office, or your child’s teacher. Once you are armed with the lists of the right supplies for your elementary school-aged kids or high schoolers it’s time to get into full swing and buy the basic learning supplies you’ll need for the entire school year.

Once you have provided each child with a durable backpack, pencil case, lunch box, erasers, and hand sanitizer, your entire family can fully enjoy the remaining days of summer break.
